Obituary of Richard Patrick LaMont

Richard Patrick LaMont, 84 passed away on August 20, 2023, at Penn Medical Center in Plainsboro NJ.

Richard was born in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and Mary LaMont and soon thereafter moved to Piscataway Township, and then to Union Township where he lived until he was married to Lorraine (Janowski) LaMont. They then moved to Monroe Township where they raised their family until his passing.

Richard was a hairdresser from an early age and owned several shops in New Jersey. Near the later part of his career he started, “Icicles” a hair styling scissor company. He loved his family and enjoyed them whenever they came to see “Pop-pop”. Richard liked horses, fishing, and all shooting sports along with the History channel and Godfather movies.

He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph, and Mary LaMont.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Lorraine (Janowski) LaMont as well as his two daughters,

Michelle Dolan (Thomas Jr) of Monroe Township, and Ami Grace LaMont-Reinstein (Harold) of East Windsor Township. Richard also leaves behind two brothers, Stephen LaMont of Morristown, and Joseph (Jay) LaMont of Maryland.

He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Thomas Dolan, Jack Dolan, Sydney Dolan,

Emily Reinstein, and Jake Reinstein.
