Richard is my middle brother and I was very appreciative of the video prepared by the immediate family complete with so many pictures that brought back so many warm memories. Thank you so much, and it helped me very much, as I was unable to be there due to a surgery of my own.
The video was great, but there are some earlier memories from childhood, which are kind of fun. At the time when my family moved to N. J. from Brooklyn NY, Steve and Rich were very young kids, and I was just about to be born. I can just picture him, a boy from the city about to move to the country, and the excitement that change would bring about in his future. Leaving the city behind meant the start of a loving relationship with a horse named Pat and a Great Dane named Major. But there was another memory, that through the years has forever brought me to smile at his remarkable innocence. Just before the move, Rich started this transformation thinking about the chickens he would have and the eggs they would add to our morning table. And so it was that upon moving he was given six, newly born chicks. Now there was someone else in the family a little older than him, who had a sense of humor. So that first night he went off to.bed barely able to contain his anticipation. And the very next morning out he went to get those eggs. Well these chickens were so amazing they not only produced an egg the equal of their size, each of them. But most amazing of all, each egg came hard boiled. And such was his innocent nature. Rest in peace Rich and as the old Irish blessing puts forward — “may He hold you forever in the palm of his hand.”

Rich was my middle sibling, and of him and with him are many wonderful memories, some funny others more serious. He always looked out for me. Once , in Philadelphia, he called me to see how my bldg was coming along. That day I told him about this rude and pushy Italian guy who was almost threatening about my giving him an appointment for our bending businesd
