Obituary of Joseph C. Palmisano

Joseph C. Palmisano passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Parker @ Somerset.  He was 80 years old.  Joseph was born in Newark, and resided in Highlands for over 25 years before moving to Concordia, Monroe Twp.  in 2019.  He was a barber and operated his own salon for 25 years, Shear Action, in Edison prior to working as a barber for Casablanca in Metuchen.  While living in Highlands, he was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and upon moving to Monroe Twp., he was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp.  He was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus in Council #11660.

He was predeceased by his parents, Nunzio and Nancy (Costanza) Palmisano.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary (Cunningham) Palmisano of Concordia, Monroe Twp., one daughter, Kimberly Jonny and her husband Michael of New Providence, two grandchildren, Trevor and Aidan, and many other extended family members.

A memorial mass will be 10:00am on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by entombment of Joseph's cremated remains at Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum Niche, South Brunswick Twp., NJ 08810.
