I remember Nancy as a young girl at seventeen. We were friends in high school. In retrospect, I now see that she was wise beyond her years. Nancy was a wonderful listener, and if you had a problem or just needed to talk, she would listen and look straight into your eyes very intensely. You just knew that she cared and didn't feel the need to interject. If asked for advice or for her opinion, she always was honest and straight forward yet compassionate. That is how I knew that she was trustworthy. That was Nancy at seventeen. I can only image what she must have been like as a grown woman. I have no doubt that she was loved by so many as this was just one of her beautiful qualities. So precious, so full of wisdom and gone too soon. My prayers go out to her lovely family. It was a blessing to know Nancy, if only for a short period of time in my life. Rest in peace, my childhood friend.
