Obituary of Rosa Bozzi

Rosa (Mannina) Bozzi, 95, passed away on Sunday May 14, 2023 at her residence in Monroe Twp.  Rosa was born and raised in Hartford, CT.  She lived on Long Island for over 40 years before moving to Monroe Twp. in 2003.  Rosa was employed as a secretary to the Indian Ambassador at the UN before raising her family as a homemaker.  She also worked at Century 21 Real Estate and Winthrop Hospital, both on Long Island as a secretary.  Rosa loved to bake. Every year, family and friends would receive delicious home baked Christmas cookies in her famous cookie tins. She was treasurer of the Monroe Twp. Italian American Cultural Society for 11 years, she was involved in the PTA for over 20 years and was also the treasurer of the Homemakers Council of Long Island.   She enjoyed working the Bingo game and a weekly game of Canasta at Monroe Village.

Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bozzi (1997).

She is survived by three daughters: Irene Caccavallo and her husband Steven of Park Ridge, Constance Beovich of Westbury, NY and Paula DeBlasio and her husband Stephen of Monroe Twp., her sister, Angelina Ingargiola of Jupiter, FL, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3-7 pm on Tuesday May 16, 2023 and 8:30-9:15 am on Wednesday May 17, 2023 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 - 732-521-0555.  Funeral services will begin at 9:15 am on Wednesday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:00 am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church - 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 followed by interment in St. Charles Cemetery - 2015 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY  11735.
