Gregory John Pike, 73, died on Saturday January 30, 2021 at his residence in Somerset, NJ.  Gregory was born in Marquette, MI.  He was a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary.  He began ministry in New Scotland, NY at the New Scotland Presbyterian Church.  After 18 years, he and his family moved to Millstone, NJ where he then ministered at The Presbyterian Church of Millstone for 20 years.  The church and community became family throughout his years to retirement.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, reading, philosophy and spending time with his grandchildren. Additionally, travel was very important to him.  It was sparked with a year abroad in Scotland for his graduate work.  Later he and his sister, Kaye Frang, were able to visit Scotland to celebrate their retirement and explore their ancestral roots.  He traveled with his son Douglas Pike, wife and grandchildren to Mexico, Canada, Michigan, Texas, New Orleans, Mississippi,  D.C., California and more.  He enjoyed fishing with his cousins in the Outer Banks. He loved visiting the beachfronts and walking along the water.

Gregory is preceded in death by his two brothers, Steven, and Brian Pike. Gregory is survived by his two sons, Douglas Pike and his wife Celeste of Kendall Park, NJ, Justin Defazzio and his wife Jeanette of Niskayuna, NY, his daughter, Amy Brewis and her husband Stephen of Milford, MA., his sister Kaye Frang and her husband Jim of Harbor Spring, MI., his seven grandchildren, Orion, Stella, Serafina, Olivia, Nico, Aidan and Ethan, and his nieces and nephews who live throughout the country.
