On behalf of the entire South Brunswick Police Department we offer our condolences to the Volpicella family. Frank retired many years ago but his contribution to the South Brunswick Police Department, the Township, and law enforcement still continue today. He trained thousands of police officers during his career and upon retirement from the police department. Those skills are utilized by police officers across the United States every day . He is still protecting and serving through others with his knowledge and dedication to the law enforcement profession and mankind.
RIP VOLP! You will be missed.

I extend my deepest sympathy to the Volpicella family during this time with the loss of Frank. I was saddened to learn about Frank's passing.
Words never seem enough at a time like this. I am honored to have known Frank for over 30 years. I first met Frank through the New Jersey Police Traffic Officers Association and then working with him since the inception of the NJ Crash Training Program started by the NJ Division of Highway Traffic Safety.
The contributions of Frank's knowledge and experience were invaluable to the crash investigation classes here in New Jersey and around the country. He was blessed to be able to instill his knowledge onto countless police officers over the years.
Frank always had a "kind word" for everyone, whether at a meeting or other gathering, and he received the "kind words" back all in good fun.
Frank, rest in peace. I am sure that there are a few good auctions you can go to now.
You will be missed!

I first me Frank when he became my instructor for Crash Reconstruction in 2004. During the 2 week course, I was having difficulty in understanding the physics applications. Frank noticed I was struggling and recommended we meet after dinner in the hotel breakfast lounge with my books. After a few tutoring sessions, I was caught up and on track. There were times during my career, I reached out to Frank for Recon advice on a crash I was handling. I had several mentors in Crash Reconstruction, and Frank was one of them. He was always reassuring and helpful. As the years went by, I looked forward to seeing him at Crash Conferences and NJAAR meetings. He was always lively and fun to be around. Yet, he loved to bust my horns for being a short guy. I'll miss that. I will forever treasure his friendship and the memories. God Bless you, Frank. You will be missed terribly.

My thoughts and prayers are with Frank's family and close friends.
I had the honor of being taught Traffic Crash Reconstruction by Frank about 15 years ago. I have a had the pleasure of knowing him through NJAAR's and the NJ Crash Training Program. He always had a funny dig at someone in the meeting and always, I mean always busted on everyone. It was all in good fun among friends and colleagues. He was always willing to step up and complete tasks for the Crash Training Program and curriculum. Thanks for imparting your knowledge and making NJ a safer place. Rest in peace my friend.
Respectfully,
SFC. Derek DiStaso

My condolences to the family for their loss.
Frank was a good guy and clearly well liked as evidenced by many things not the least of which was his 20 year tenure as President of the New Jersey Association of Accident Reconstructionists (NJAAR). During my fourteen years on the NJAAR Board, I saw first hand Frank's consistent ability to make things happen and do things to advance the association.
Your work here was done well. Rest in peace and thanks.

I had the honor of knowing and working with Frank for about 30+ years through NJAAR and the NJ Police Traffic Officers. I also worked with him a few times instructing crash courses. He was well respected and considered a leader in the police crash training community, not only in NJ, but nationally. Frank was the personification of such training programs in the state having been involved with and contributing to the program since its inception. I last saw him in person about a year ago at a meeting where we engaged in good conversation. We talked about his illness and it was clear he was fighting the good fight. I also was in his company virtually this past fall regarding the recent development of the first NJ online crash training course. I was saddened to hear about his passing. He contributions and leadership will be missed. Frank leaves behind a wonderful professional legacy and he will always be remembered as one of the greats in NJ law enforcement annals. My sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
