My heart goes out to the Delurey family. I was friends with both Ed and Virginia through the teens. I smiled when someone wrote about Ed's laugh, I remember it well. What a sweet guy, I am so blessed to have had them in my life.

My deepest sympathy to all of the Delurey family. So many great memories of growing up right next door to the family in Smithtown. Lost touch with the family as we all moved away but it was great seeing Eddie at our St. Pats reunion some time ago. Eddie hadn't changed and was still the nice guy with a great smile and we had a few laughs reminiscing about our childhood days. Rest in peace Eddie.

Over the pat 10 years, I enjoyed working with Ed. He was exceptionally hard working and I had only positive experiences with him. He had a calm and quiet demeanor and I was always confident in his abilities to deliver accurate information. He will be missed.
My deepest condolences to his entire family.

Ed was a great guy and will be missed. I attended St. Patrick's in Smithtown with Ed and his twin sister Virginia. We all then went on to Smithtown West High School. As often happens, college, marriage and careers cause folks to move away or lose touch. I will never forget Eddie's laugh . God bless him, his wife and kids and all the Delurey's. I am very saddened to hear this news. I learned of it from a mutual friend. I grew up around the corner from the Delurey's. I wasn't Ed's closest friend, but as youngsters we participated in many mutual neighborhood games and activities. Ed was a really nice guy. My sincerest condolences to his family.
