JM and I went to high school and both attended Bucknell as struggling ChemE's for 4 years. Great memories fishing with him on White Deer Creek every spring. Rides home between Lewisburg and West Hartford in JM's old station wagon were always an adventure. I was sorry we lost touch so many years ago and was very sorry to hear of his passing. Great guy and I know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

My deepest sympathy to Jim's family; I'm shocked by this news. I knew Jim at the office for the past 17 years. Beyond our work, he always greeted everyone with an engaging smile, easy-going manner and conversation that showed he really cared about people. And yes, we compared notes on living in quintessential, small-town Cranbury where everyone is a "neighbor." Jim and all of his family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Solvay won't be the same without him. We'll really miss him.

My heartfelt condolences to the Marsh family. I first met and worked with Jim in the early/mid nineties, then got to know him better for the short two years the Marsh family were based in the UK. Then from around 2004, we worked closely together for ten years, sharing many long hours of travel. Of course I remember Jim as the consumate professional, but more particularly as a great friend and un-wavering pillar of support in any circumstance. So many fond memories,

I'm still in shock that Jim is gone, he always seemed and acted so full of life. I've known and worked with him for many years and I was always happy to see him because he had such a cheerful, positive, attitude and was so full of enthusiasm. I was really surprised when he told me recently he was planning to retire soon, because he still looked so young. He will be much missed. My condolences to his family.

My sincere condolences to The Marsh family and Jamie's close friends. I do not think I have run across a finer man than I met at the front door of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity house at Bucknell in 1977 on the first day of "rush". Jamie looked out for naïve, anxious, and sometimes over zealous freshman like myself, to make sure we were not hurt by a system that could at times lack sensitivity. His uncanny ability to have fun will keeping his studies in check was incredible!
Although we did not stay in close contact after his graduation, I maintained tremendous regard for much of what Jamie stood for and supported.
My heart aches for the family as Jamie's untimely passing is incomprehensible to us all.

When I transferred to the Shelton Ct office of Stauffer/Rhône Poulenc in 1990, Jim was one of the first to warmly welcome our all in our business unit to The Stauffer family. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and trustworthy. He invited me to join the basketball team where I got to know him outside of work and witnessed his tremendous athletic ability. Later when we worked together directly, he could not have been more helpful and supportive teaching me a business he knew like few others. We crossed paths many times after the business was sold and he remained with Rhodia. The world has lost a great man and I will miss him. Condolences to Colleen, Corey and John.
