Dorothy Andrews passed away peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick on Friday December 1, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 65 years old. Dorothy was born in Plainfield and lived in Westfield for many years. She has resided in Stonebridge, Monroe Twp. since 2011. She earned her Master’s Degree in Leadership and Organizational Behavior from Thomas Edison State College and had an over 40 year career working for Union County College. She retired in 2016 as the Assistant Director of IT. Dorothy was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church in Monroe Twp. and was a member of the Women of Nativity and the Companions of Pauline.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Bruce Curren in 2011.
She is survived by three sisters-in-law, Laura Randazzo and her husband Pat of Monroe Twp., Patty DiBiasi and her husband Tom of Saddle River, and Nancy Bolster and her husband John of Rutherford, one sister, Sally Stevenson, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Wednesday December 6, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am on Thursday December 7, 2017 at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by Interment in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
