Obituary of William E. Gusa, Sr.

William E. Gusa, Sr. died on Wednesday October 11, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton. He was 91 years old. Mr. Gusa was born and raised in Flushing, Queens, NY and lived there for over 60 years before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. in 1995. He served in the US Army during WWII. He was a police officer for the NYPD for 36 years and retired in 1985 with the rank of Sergeant. He was a parishioner of Nativity Of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp.
He was predeceased by his wife, Monica C. (Gardner) Gusa in 2011 and two brothers.
He is survived by two children, Denise Jamieson and her husband Bruce of Ocala, FL, and Dr. William E. Gusa, Jr. and his wife Carol of Jackson, MS, three grandchildren, Katie Dustman and her husband Greg, Alexandra, and Sarah, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday October 16, 2017 and from 8:45am to 9:15am on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Township, NJ 08831. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Tuesday October 17, 2017 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by Interment in Brgd. Gen. William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
