words of our Heavenly Father, JehovahGod found in
2 Corinthains 1:3,4 and remember the hope we have in the

Today I have to say goodbye to my Grandfather which is significantly tougher by my inability to actually be there. The distance is the hardest part of saying goodbye to you, but recently I've been remembering all of the fond memories that we had together. Big events come to mind, but the ones that stand out the most are the day to day memories that remind me of how much of a loving Grandpa you were. Things like which way Alex and I liked our eggs for breakfast, trying to wake you up early in the morning as kids with your own alarm clock, sharing our birthday celebrations for as long as I can remember, and how you and Grandma always made it to every band recital and school event that I ever had. These are just some of the memories that have the most profound effect on me. I am going to miss our time together and calling you every Veteran's Day to thank you for your service and how much you mean to me. I'm going to miss our Skype calls where we fill you in on all our fun adventures and you would share your adventures from back in the day. But most of all, I'm just going to miss you. I love you Grandpa.
