Our Bill loved God, his family and his country, with a special affection for the U. S. Marines. He lived his life to the fullest spending unending, loving hours with his family and touching the lives of countless friends and strangers. Though he may be gone in body, his spirit and precious memories will remain with his family and friends forever.

For Donna and the family. As one of many who worked alongside Bill during his tenure at NYCE as the data center executive, I can assert without a shred of doubt that everyone that knew him, admired and respected him -- for his intelligence, his no-nonsense approach, and at the same time, that kindness so often mentioned by others. I was privileged to know Bill, and more so for staying in touch post his leaving NYCE. A truly generous man --- both in spirit and time and in monetary ways too. Bill's family and friends have been profoundly blessed by having Bill in their lives. He will be in your hearts forever, always listening.

To the Cary Family – I don't want to speak of loss because Bill will forever be present in all the lives that he touched. I worked with Bill for several years at NYCE and knew Bill to be an exceptional leader who challenged his people to achieve more than they thought they could. We are all better to have known Bill.

My deepest condolence to the Cary family. Proud to say that I had the honor of meeting Mr. Cary and exchanging friendly military rival service banter with him. It warmed my heart to find and know that there were people like Bill in the civilian sector that truly understood and appreciated the sacrifice of the U. S. Military and service men and women. His greatest achievement as I know he knew was the beautiful family that he had raised around him. This is the legacy that every great man hopes for in the end of his day. My condolences to the entire Cary family for their loss of Bill Cary. I remember him when I was a small child...he was a happy man, and made me and everybody else smile and laugh. He was always fun to spend time with. My best memories were times spent with the Cary family at their summer home at Upper Greenwood Lake.
Rest in peace Bill Cary.

When I heard that Bill passed I was so deeply affected. When I opened his Obit and saw his picture I don't mind admitting that I cried like a baby. Bill was the type of guy you had a special relationship with. Bill was my older brother and he was a father figure all rolled into one. I worked for Bill in Technology during the crazy years at Citibank-Citigroup-CitiCorp, just about the whole time that Bill spent at Citi we worked together. I have so many many "Bill Cary' stories and memories. I lived just north of Bill in NJ and when we were working late we often stopped for a "libation" and shared ride home together. First thing Bill did upon getting into the car everytime was to call Anna Marie. I just cannot put into words what I feel for Bill, so just let me say I LOVED THE MAN. Anna Marie, Ann Marie, Billy and Joey......Please accept my heartfelt sympathies and know I will never ever forget the "DUKE"

It is very difficult to express how much we will miss Bill. Losing someone closer than a brother, adored as a person, and loved beyond explanation is hard. Bill was part of our family and will always be part of our hearts. The lord has him in the palm of his hands until we meet again

No finer Irishman ever walked this Earth than cousin Bill, and I think that over the years, no Irishman had more patience and humor about the ways of the wacky Italian family that he married into. Bill, Ann Marie and the Cary clan grew in love and number over the years, and my family's fondest memory will be a reunion in New Jersey several years back where Bill refereed the family bocci tournament - or at least he tried to! You laughed so hard that you cried! May the wind always be at your back Bill and may you know the peace of God. You will never leave us so long as you are in our hearts.

Besides his loving family, Bill leaves behind a legacy of laughter. Anyone who knew him has a Bill Cary story to tell. He grew up in the streets of Brooklyn, but his charm, work ethic and sense of humor helped him move easily into upper management. He never forgot where he came from, and if you became his friend, you had a friend for life. Bill's main focus in life was his wife and children. He was so proud of his kids and what they accomplished. We will miss him, but are grateful for the pleasure of having known him. Heaven just got a little livelier.
