Del, may you Rest in Peace! Upon me entering the NJSP, you were my first senior man (Hightstown). I remember riding midnights with you, listening to all your hunting stories from Canada. I have heard others who have made their way up to Canada, would be asked by locals, "Do you know Del Hoffman?" It is obvious that you have left an impression with everyone you met. Rest in Peace Del!!
Kevin Bartels

Del has been my office mate and friend for 10 years. He always had an ear to listen and solid advice when it was needed. He had the biggest heart. He always had a good word for all of his "Road Puppies" as he called them and he often said he was proud to see them grow into the Troopers they had become. For my family he was special. He was a voice to my son in Afghanistan, when I couldn't get to the phone. Every Friday he would tell me to stay out of trouble, because he only had enough bail money for Pumkin (Elizabeth my granddaughter). He knew all my kids by their voices and he always asked about their day. They all loved him. He will be missed but he will always have a place in our hearts for my family and me. We all wish Lisa and Tara our heart felt sympathy for you loss.
