Betty has been a fixture in my life for 38 years! We enjoyed many adventures, chief of which were softball teams and skiing. She was an outstanding, caring person that shared herself, her home and her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. I smile when I think of the many escapades with Betty and Ray, and that is comforting.

Bette we have spent many years together on the softball diamond. Your knowledge about pitching and the game were second to none. Working with you and coaching with you when we played for the Linden Majors, it was obvious how much u truly loved this game. You helped so many young people excel. Alsbuho u touched so many lives both on and off the softball field. I was one of those lives you touched. Thank you Rest in peace.
To my dear friend Raymond. I am so sorry for your loss.
To Ray & Betty and their entire Zwingraf family:

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to meet and know Betty Zwingraf because of a very close working relationship with her husband, Ray. The outcome was the establishment of an extended family.
Upon meeting Betty I quickly discovered that she was very friendly and easy to talk with. I learned that she had a very real, humanistic approach to life and work that put ever body in a comfortable state of mind and had a natural ability to dialog on almost any subject. When asked, you could expect a darn good reply filled with detailed facts.
Betty loved to work with everyone. She had continuous and on-going love for sharing knowledge, experiences, and talent with students, faculty, communities, friends, and relatives. You could count on Betty to make things happen, no matter what the obstacles. It goes without saying that Betty represented the best of what many of us look forward to achieving during our time on Earth.
As an outstanding professor, coach, friend, and family member she stands high on the list of major contributors. She will be remembered for her humor, insight, and determination to make things happen. Betty was always motivated by action, especially when positive or passionate efforts and causes were at stake. The people that Betty touched left impressions that will promulgate for years to come. Her commitment to her husband, family and friends, as well as to teaching, community and sports are well recognized. I am in utter grief over Betty' passing which necessitated me to share these thoughts.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to meet and know Betty Zwingraf because of a very close working relationship with her husband, Ray.
Betty was the most intelligent, giving, patient person the Cunningham family have come across. The thousands of hours she gave to us "kitties"allowing us to practice with all the older girls at Rutger's pushed us harder and further than we could ever imagine. And as my sister and I grew older I found myself wearing a Linden Arians uniform, with Betty watching our games and still would have my undivided attention every single time she spoke. To be in her presence as a little girl and a grown woman, was an honor. You are one of the few in my life who shaped me into the woman I have become. You always encouraged me in school and softball. We love you Betty. You will NEVER be forgotten.
Elizabeth Cunningham O'Neil

Tough day for me today. Betty was my first pitching coach at Trenton State College who strongly encouraged Dr Walker to use me as a pitcher. If it wasn't for Betty fighting for me, I would not have had the experience of winning our 1st National championship and achieving the things I have done. I am forever grateful to her. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Rest in piece Betty...

Betty was a very special person, not just because of her softball intelligence, but the fact she was a wonderful person. Our daughter learned so much from her, both as a person and as a pitcher. She was also a wonderful friend who cared so much for her Lab, Indiana, and sharing such fun times with everyone. Betty set the bar for how well her students and players could achieve what they wanted to achieve, as shown by the success of so many of her students. We will miss her, in so many ways, that we can\'t begin to describe. We loved her, and the wonderful husband that was always by her side. We miss you girl....but we know you\'re in a good place. Debbie, Darlene, D.J. and Dean

Meeting Betty was one of the many highlights when I played for the Linden Arians. I was very fortunate to have a few informal pitching lessons with her and it wasn't until afterwards that I learned about who she had taught. I was so grateful for the time she gave me. But more importantly, she took a genuine interest in helping me. Rest well Betty.....the game will miss you!
