<p>Pop pop</p><p>Although we knew this day would come, in our hearts and mind we never wanted you to be taken away from us. Thank you for all the life lessons, traditions and values you and Nanny have instilled in our family. There are so many memories I have of you but to name a few of my fondest are: you and I picking fresh figs off your trees and eating them; planting your gardens, me trying to climb the grape vine Lattice in Ny and you yelling; Sunday dinners and sangria, your infamous Christmas Eve food spread, my two staple foods in life perfected by you pasta fagioli and potato croquettes; italian soccer is #1, frozen chocolate and candy, and your way of giving things to us was throwing it across the table and saying, "eah!..(here.)" I loved coming home and surprising you with my visits because your face was priceless each and every time. I can still hear your broken English in my mind and am going to miss hearing your voice. You always sang this one italian lullaby to be as a child and I will always hear you singing it in my head.</p><p>There is no pain and there is no further suffering for you. You lived an amazing life and made an amazing life for us! now you are strong enough to take care of your family again now matter where we are or what we are doing, I know you will be right behind us.
