Obituary of John K. Smalley

John K. Smalley died on Monday July 18, 2016 at Lourdes Specialty Hospital in Willingboro, NJ. He was 60 years old. Mr. Smalley was born and raised in Brooklyn. He lived in Staten Island for 28 years before moving to Stonebridge, Monroe Twp. in 2013. He was a Managing Director at Alliance Bernstein in New York City for over 25 years before his retirement in 2011. He was fond of music and was a jam band drummer for various local bands as well as the Stonebridge Jammers. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marian (Dunn) Smalley of Stonebridge, Monroe Twp., his son, Matthew J. Smalley of New York City, four siblings, Betty Maher of Brooklyn, NY, Mickey Smalley of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert Smalley and his wife Patricia of Rome, NY, and Patricia Gregis of Staten Island, and many other beloved extended family members. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Friday July 22, 2016 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am on Friday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Committal and Cremation will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park Crematory Chapel, South Brunswick.
