Patrick A. Amabile died on Monday May 30, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 67 years old. He was born on May 30, 1949 in Jersey City. He lived in Clark, and resided most of his life in Middlesex County. He also lived in Port St. Lucie for five years and has resided in Monroe Twp. since 2005. He received his Master's Degree from Seton Hall University and was an elementary school teacher. He worked for Seaside Park Board of Education, and following his retirement in New Jersey, he taught special education for the Port St. Lucie School System. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus for the Nativity of Our Lord RC Church Council 14658 where he was also an active parishioner including being an usher, and a CCD teacher. He was a member of the Rossmoor Italian American Club. He was the 1995 Seaside Park Board of Education Teacher of the Year, and also received the same accolade while teaching in Port St. Lucie School System. He was predeceased by his parents Carmine Amabile and Rose (Rosati) Amabile. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie C. (Polhamus) Amabile of Rossmoor, Monroe Twp., his son, Vincent P. Amabile and his wife Pauline of Jamesburg, two grandsons, Vincent P., Jr., and Anthony M., his mother-in-law, Edith Polhamus, and many other extended family members. Visitation will be 2-4pm & 7-9pm on Friday June 3, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Saturday June 4, 2016 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by Emtombment in Holy Cross Burial Park – South Brunswick. In lieu of flowers and for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 14658 (c/o Nativity of Our Lord RC Church), 185 Applegarth Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831.
