Brother Pat was very special to me, we worked closely together to make our council stronger each and everyday.
We both had the desire to help promote membership and to that extent we became the unofficial escorts for all 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree Exemplifications the last five years.
Pat was the most caring person I knew, there were times when I or another brother was not feeling well, and the first thing he would say is what can I do for you, imagine someone who has been in and out of the hospital had severe pain the last two years and not thinking of himself but asking how you feel. Incredible !
Pat was a Gentle Man, he will be missed. Your pain is gone now and you are in God's protective hands.
I know that God will have a special place for Pat in heaven and he will continue to help others up there as he has done down here on earth.

It is with profound sorrow we learn of the passing of our brother Knight Pat Amabile. We all know Pat for his hard work and dedication to our council. He welcomed new members with dignity and gave them the true feeling of what being a Knight of Columbus was all about.
Being an usher at the 11:00 am Mass on Sunday was another example of Pat' dedication. He is probably the only one I ever knew who greeted everyone with a double handshake and often a hug. The warmth he displayed made parishioners feel welcomed and at home. This little gesture endeared him to people, an example of our faith in action.
May you rest in peace Pat, knowing you have left an indelible legacy. You will always be in our prayers.

I first met Pat when I joined the Knights of Columbus at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Pat was easy to talk to and we shared a common background both being involved in the field of education. Our conversations always contained humor. The last few years when Pat experienced more involved health issues, I was always impressed with Pat\'s positive attitude. Pat will greatly be missed and I was priviledged to have known Pat. My sincerest condolences go out to Pat\'s dear wife and family. Pat and his family will be in my prayers.
