Bob was a wonderful person, I've know him since I married into the family some 40 years ago, my husband Michael was very close to his cousin Bob, so I was too. We shared many holidays and dinners together and also traveled together. He was funny, smart, generous, caring and interesting. He will be missed by all of my family and our thoughts and prayers are with his family, Laura, Jim, Bob, Matt, Lorraine, the grandchildren and niece and nephews.

As a good friend of Mr. Volpe's son Robert (Bob) I have fond memories of always being welcomed into the Volpe household. Bob and I, along with other high school friends, would often meet at his home before venturing out on a Friday or Saturday night. Invariably Mr. Volpe would spend time talking with us in the den about various subjects while, on a TV in the background, a New York sports team was at work. In later years, when Bob would return to the area for the holidays, some of the same crew would once again get together at the Volpe residence before going out to catch up over dinner and we always enjoyed seeing Bob's father and discussing current events. My deepest sympathies go out to the Volpe family and please know that I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Bob Trigg

Bob has been my closest friend and my mentor since I first met him in 1959. On my first day of work at the New York Stock Exchange, Bob was assigned to introduce me to the Exchange's facilities, the staff of the Research Department, and to take me to lunch. Thirty-two years later he was at my NYSE retirement party. Over that entire period, we had lunch or diner at least once a week. We continued our weekly luncheons after we retired and up until my wife passed away when I began spending most of my time in Florida, South Carolina And Texas. Nevertheless, the telephone kept us in touch with each other, and I was able to continue to outperform the stock market due solely his incredible knowledge of, and unique insights into, the inter-workings of global financial markets, and corporate America. Never have I known anyone outside my own family who was a more loving and caring human being than Bob. He will never be replaced. My deepest sympathy to Bob's family, and especially to Laura, the love of his life, and to Bob and Matthew. He will always be in my prayers.

I have known Bob for over 35 years. We first became business associates and quickly became friends. We met frequently for lunch while we worked in NY and continued when I moved to West Windsor. Bob and I had many things in common, both Republican conservatives, appreciated good food, followed the stock market and loved talking about our children and grandchildren. I will miss our get together to solve the world problems but will always remember our friendship.

I have many fond memories of my cousin Bob. We played together as boys in our grandmother's basement, went camping at Bear Mountain with my dad as young teens, and had a warm relationship as we grew older. Bob and my dad were best of friends and dad was always happy to swap stories with Bob. Living in Texas for the past 40 years we didn't get together often, but we did have a chance for a nice lunch together a couple of years ago on a trip we made to NJ. Our sympathy goes to his sister Lorraine and his children and grandchildren. Our thanks and appreciation to Laura for the wonderful way she handled Bob's last days.

Bill and Joanne Cafiero and my sister, Janice McCullough
