We did find a note that mom would like to express no flowers- but to please remember your local food pantry, Spotswood Food Pantry and Catholic Charities. We know the weather is bad- and we want to express if you are not able to come to services on Saturday- it is okay- we know and Mom knows she is in your hearts and would not want anyone risking their own safety- especially since she will see each and every one of us again. We can only imagine the rejoicing and party in Heaven- being with Our Father, Dad, and their favorite little actress Shirley Temple! and the crowd awaiting at the gate, her family and friends!

Aunt Mary will always be in my heart. She was a second mother to me and loved dearly by everyone in my family. We will be forever grateful for the care and support she gave to my mother and to us when my mother was ill. She was a shining example of what a friend should be: kind, loving, generous and loyal. I know she is with Uncle Tommy now and reunited with my Mom, Dad and so many other friends and family members. My thoughts and prayers are with Ann, Tim, Kevin, Mary and their families. Tried calling on Tuesday night when I heard the news but couldn't get through. No surprise, given how many people Aunt Mary touched and how many folks you had to contact as a result. I'm planning on seeing you all on Saturday. Please let me know if there is anything you need. Love to you all. Miss you and love you, Aunt Mary. Love, Bridget

Mrs. Concannon was an amazing woman and one of my Mom's dearest friends. She opened her home to so many including our Girl Scout troop. She shared her home, her heart, her family and quite a bit of advise. All of this from strong spiritual beliefs and her true self. I loved every minute of it. I know my life and who I am is partially because I was blessed to know this great lady. My love and prayers go out to the family.

Thank you Mrs. C for all your caring, love, and guidance as a Girl Scout leader so long ago. To this day, your lessons live on in the hearts of the girls you touched and help become the strong women we are today. My family will never forget how you made it out to our mom's viewing, and we pray for your family now, that they may be "comforted with the comfort they gave" us at that time. I bet Mom is thrilled to see you!

Mrs. C you were truly an Angel walking here on earth. May God rest you sweetly and his love be with all those you leave behind. You were truly a wonderful and caring person in my life and all those years you gave of fun, laughter, learning were truly some of the best times of my life. Thank you for all that you did. I know my mom will be so happy to see you again, give her a hug from me and let laughter begin again. Go in peace in the knowledge of the love and happy memories that you created in not only mine but so many lives. You will be greatly missed.

Mrs. C. was a wonderful lady. Even though I was kid when I first became friends with Mary and got to know her mom, I looked at her with so much admiration. I thought she was such a strong woman after the death of her husband to pick herself up and go to nursing school and graduate and become a nurse, she learned how to drive after after all those years (even though she took out the picket fence my dad had just put up, so funny, we always teased her about that!) and she joined the WOWs and made lots of friends and had an active social life. She was kind and caring and had a huge heart. She was loud and funny and always made me feel comfortable in her home. One of my best summers was when she invited me to go to the shore and I think we spent a whole week there. Me and Mary had some great laughs because of her, and we all had a great time. She had so many great friends, I remember her always being on the phone, chatting away and laughing, always smiling. When I would call the house (and finally get through, lol) and ask for Mary, I'd always get a kick out of her saying "Big Mary of Little Mary", and she would laugh. I'm very sad to hear of her passing and my heart is with her wonderful family, I know she will be greatly missed, but she leaves behind great memories because she was a real gem! Rest in Peace, Mrs. C. Thanks for all you did for me.

My heart aches for The Concannon Family. So saddened by this news. Mrs. C was the kindest, friendliest, funniest, spiritual person I know. Always had a smile on her face and I can still hear her laughter. She was our 2nd mom as kids and will be greatly missed by so many. I always thought of my mom, Mrs. Colgate, Mrs. Concannon and Mrs. Redd as being the 3 muskateers, they were always together and always talking. Reading some of these posts & cherishing some of the memories, especially Dawn Sullivan saying how she was ALWAYS on the phone and could never get through. ALWAYS got a busy signal. My mom & Mrs. Concannon would talk on the phone for hours on end. They were very involved in girl scouts & the PTA, which is what they would probably talk about. To make a better life for us and all the young kids. I can remember vividly, till this day, the day my dad fell off the ladder outside the house & got seriously hurt. He crawled in and yelled up to my mom to get off the phone & call the ambulance. Guess who she was on the phone with? Yup, you guessed it. She was on the phone with Mary Concannon. I remember exactly what she said, she said, "Mary I have to go, John is hurt" and within minutes the Concannon family was at our house. Mrs. C took us under her wing while my parents went in the ambulance. I can go on & on about the memories & what a wonderful woman Mrs. Concannon was & will always be. Rest in Peace Mrs. C and all my love to the family XOXOXO
