Edward S. Lowy died on Sunday December 1, 2013 at his home in Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. He was 75 years old. Mr. Lowy was born and raised in New York City. He later lived in Queens, NY, and Sayreville before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. over 30 years ago. He was a Union Plumber for over forty years before his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Majestic Lodge 109 and was a Lieutenant Colonel and Squadron Commander for the Civil Air Patrol Jimmy Stewart Squadron in Sayreville. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Roberta (Joffe) Lowy of Clearbrook, Monroe Twp., two sons, Michael Lowy and his wife Maureen of Bronx, NY, and Eric Lowy and his wife Esther of Mays Landing, one brother, Russell Lowy and his wife Pearl of Courtlandt, NY, and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:30am to 11:30am on Tuesday December 3, 2013 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation 212 Trenton Road Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
