<p>I had the opportunity to get to know and work with Ed about 10 years ago when I was a wing staff member in Civil Air Patrol. I always found him to be a great proponent of the program, but more importantly, a good and honest person. He did a great many things for a great many people. We are all better for having known him. The thoughts and prayers of my family are with you, and please accept our deepest symathies.</p>
