Roger C. Ness died on Thursday May 2, 2013 at his home in Jamesburg. He was 62 years old. Mr. Ness was born and raised in York, PA. He lived in Detroit, MI, Syracuse, NY, and Baltimore, MD before moving to Jamesburg in 1993. He graduated from William Penn High School, class of 1968, and later attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He worked as a terminal manager and sales manager for 35 years in the transportation industry. He retired in 2004. He enjoyed karate, fitness, running, fitness cycling, and was an avid trumpet player. He was a member of Calvary Chapel, Old Bridge.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Joann (LaBar) Ness of Jamesburg, his sister, Linda Whitesides and her husband Cyril of Jefferson, PA, two brothers-in-law, Walter LaBar and his wife Eada of Nutley, and Lewis LaBar and his wife Donna of Stroudsburg, PA, three sisters-in-law, Cynthia Teddick and her husband Edward of Washington, NJ, Deborah Gammo and her husband Daniel of East Hanover, and Camille LaBar of Washington, NJ, 19 nieces and nephews, his beloved black lab Lucy, and many friends.
Cremation is private. A memorial gathering will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday May 11, 2013 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A memorial service will begin at the conclusion of the gathering at 12:00pm.
