What a sweetheart of a man. He deeply touched our heart and he will be missed dearly. My cousin Joann sure picked a winner when she met him. Only one of a kind guy is that he was. Always helpful, happy, and smart. Down right fun to be around. We will miss him very much.
With all our hearts
Aunt Frances Sica and Cousin Leona

We are so deeply saddened to hear this and it is difficult to express in words, but I like you, choose to celebrate his life. So where do I start to describe my dear friend. Probably not many can say like me that Roger was my friend, my roommate and my boss. I look back at those times when I was going through a very destructive time in my life and thank the Lord Roger was there. Always with a kind word or just simply a way to make me laugh. I can't say I ever saw him get angry. This aspect of him is one of my most treasured gifts that I received and try to implement everyday in my life as well.
Please take solace in knowing that over the years when ever the opportunity has risen in conversation to comment on the human spirit and a glaring example of a positive attitude, Roger's name without hesitation always rolls off my lips and it always will. He was there for me during my chemo and always, always lifted my spirits.
I know he is in a better place and I like you hope to see him again someday.

All our love and prayers.

Roger, my friend. All who have truly known you understand that your life was fraught with many dark moments where you persevered without complaint. You were always a loving, kind, gentleman, full of life even under loads that would have crushed most of us. Your journey in body may be concluded, but the love of your days on earth lives on through our memories and the love in our hearts. Though we miss you, your caring and indomitable energy, both in life and spirit, warms us and shines on us and begins the transformation of our grief into something wondrous and full of joy for having known you. Personally, I am a better person for having shared time with you and I thank you for that. Without a doubt, you are blessed.

Joann, Linda & Cy: We were so saddened & sorry to hear of Roger's passing. He fought a long, hard fight but now he has won the race. It is sad for you but glorious for him cause he is in paradise, completely healed & has seen our Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ face-to-face. What an awesome experience for him. God also gives us that same hope that we can see him again through Christ. What an awesome God we serve. Please let us know if there is ANYTHING that we can do for you. Just ask. We love you & are praying for your comfort & peace.

Rog - you were my best friend. You were so much more to me than anyone could ever understand, and you will "Always" be my Brother. We shared many special moments and talks together that only you and I will ever know or understand. Its not the amount of time some one knows and loves someone, but the quality of love which we shared during that time. You were beyond special my Brother, you were kind, loving, giving to others. Most of all, STRONG and COURAGEOUS, so much beyond words. Never once during the years Gail and I knew you and Jo did you ever complain or show the weakness a person could have shown during the battle you fought with such dignity. We often talked and joked about who was whose Hero in this life during our life's experiences. You are, and forever will be, "MY" Special HERO. I learned a special life lesson having known you that only you and I will know, and that's between you, me and our Heavenly Father. It was such an an honor and privilege to be with you when you when you stepped into the arms of our heavenly Father. Jo my love and Sister, no other words need to be said other than: you were the love and strength he built his life upon: his Rock, Roger was beyond amazing and so were you. No further words can express how I am feeling at this time. Just know you are my Sister, and Gail and I will be there for you for the rest of your life, just call my name and I will be there. If you were lucky enough to have known Roger you may have had a glimpse into who this man truly was in this life and the lives of all he knew.

I'm gonna miss you my Brother, but you will be with me till the end of my days when we meet again on the other side.

Love You - Mike & Gail

When I think of Roger I remember all the wonderful memories we've shared with him and Joann over the years. One of the best days was the day that he and Joann married. What a blessing they have both been to each other. Roger was a kind, loving, interesting man. He always knew so many fun facts and stories about whatever we were talking about. He will be missed dearly by us! We love you Roger...and we will take good care of Jo and Lucy...no worries. Rest in peace dear friend.
