Ed was one of the funniest people I've ever known. Having dinner with Ed and Jim at my sister's house in Rhode Island was an experience I'll never forget. Ed had us all in tears laughing. He and Jim took care of my sister and she took care of them. They offered my family their friendship and when I traveled to see my sister, I couldn't wait to see them too. Jim, please know that my heart is with you.

I was one of those fortunate to be included in the family Ed and Jim built in Rhode Island. I know him as a loving, kind, and humorous man, sensitive to others as few people are. I will cherish the times I spent with him, relaxing on his deck, enjoying the sight of the Wood River as it flowed by on quiet summer afternoons

We met Ed many years ago when he worked with my sister, Kathy at JFK. Hw was always so entertaining and great company to be with. All these years he and Jim have been great friends to Kathy who is now fighting her own battle. Rest in peace, Ed. By now you have all the heavens laughing. Prayers to you Jim and LauraJean . Remember the fun and happy times to help you in the days ahead.

Ed was such a wonderful loving and giving man to all of his family and friends. He offered to sponsor my brother in law for AA and he had never even met the man. He was my mothers neighbor on that beautiful river in Rhode Island and there was never a day when Ed (and Jim) were not the very best friends and neighbors to her, looking out for her during her whole battle with lymphoma never losing faith she would do well. The state of Rhode Island and MY FAMILY in particular will feel an emptiness without our friend Ed (and Jim, here in Woodville). Ed graciously gave me a beautiful antique when their home went up for sale and when that comes to my home it will be a great day as we will have our dear friend Ed (and Jim) with us again. Jim, we love you. Think of my mother when you look at that rock and just so you know I found 2 more on March 1st and two on the 2nd of March so Mom and Ed and my Dad have met up and are watching us all now. We will miss you terribly.
