Words cannot express how saddened I am about the loss of this great guy. Brian was one of the good ones. He always lead our workout classes with enthusiasm, laughs and a smile. He never gave up and would never let anyone else give up either. His jokes and sarcasm made the pain of working out fun. We would always laugh that we were the only two in class that couldn't touch our toes. Brian always expressed such of love for his family and was so excited about being a grandfather. My heart goes out to you all. May the wonderful memories that you have with him in your heart help get you through this extremely difficult time.

Words cannot express how saddened I am to hear about the loss of Brian. I was about 6 years old when I met Brian on Waksman Pl in North Brunswick. Brian and "Bunky" were my next door neighbors and they were like my "big" brothers. It was Brian who gave me my first job at Finger's Radiator when I was 17. I will always remember when we rode to work together and we would talk about the Yankees game the night before. I will always cherish the moments I shared with him in North Brunswick. He was for sure a gentle giant who deeply cared about the well being of others and it was an honor for myself and others to have known him! And to Joanne and family may God comfort you in this most difficult time.....

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Brian's passing. My family lived next door to the Von B's on
Waksman Place in North Brunswick. When I was a child (Brian was about 9 years older than me) I remember 'Big Brian' as the quiet one and I was in awe of him and actually a bit intimidated. I remember him playing basketball, riding his bike around the corner, building us snow forts in the winter, and lending my dad a helping hand. As I grew older and got to know him better, I realized what a a kind, gentle soul he was. He was thoughtful and sensitive. i learned what a true gentleman he was when he met "Josie'. Joanne started coming around and you could tell Brian was hooked. He treated her with such respect and he beamed everytime he talked about her or saw her.

The last time I saw Brian I was thrilled to see he was still the same, genuine, great guy. He was still so in love with Joanne and his amazing girls.

Joanne, Jill, Joelle, Bunky, Gail, Lynne and the entire family, I am so sorry for your loss. We have lost a great man.

When I moved to New Jersey 9 years ago, Brian was one of the first people I met. Since then, and over countless hours of push ups, squats, lunges, weight lifting, and so much more, I got to know Brian, which is to say I knew him the way you get to know a person who you sweat and toil with - I knew he had a quick wit and a ready grin, that anyone who came into his orbit became his friend, that he loved a good round of golf and summers in the Outer Banks. But most of all, Brian took great pride in his family, and over the years those of us who called him a friend heard about graduations and weddings and new additions to the family. His obvious pride at being a husband, father and new grandfather was evident.

I was saddened to hear of his passing. Brian was one of the good guys and he will be missed.

I am so saddened by the loss of this amazing man. I met Brian when he was a participant in my classes 15 years ago when I moved here just out of college. He always made me feel like I had someone to talk to if I needed anything. He was with me through my engagement, wedding, the passing of my father, pregnancy and beyond! I loved hearing him talk about his daughters...he would just light up! He was truly an amazing man and will always have a special place in many many hearts.
