Saddened to hear about the loss of Fred. He was a high school classmate and teammate . Fred was full of life and laughter back in those days and although I have not seen him in years, I find through these tributes that he continued to brighten up the day for all those who knew him.
With prayers and fond memories....

I met Fred when we worked together in Bainbridge, I tended bar and he cooked. We became good friends, he even had Thanksgiving with us a time or two. He was a wonderful person and a great friend. I would often stop and just talk, he gave great advice. I hadn't seen him in a while, but I could have pulled in his yard and we would have started talking like we had talked the day before. I and many others will miss him greatly. He was a dear friend and I am so very sorry for your Family's loss.

Fred
Janiec was the captain of the St. Thomas Aquinas varsity cross-country team. He
lead the school to an undefeated 15-0 season. Under his leadership, the team
was so strong they took top 4 in 13 out of 15 races, including winning the
conference championship.

Fred was a 3 time all county runner and broke the school
record for the mile and 2 mile. He graduated in 1976 and ran for the
Glassboro/Rowan team. Fred was my high school teammate on our championship
team. He set the example of hard work at
practice. He wanted to win at practice. He wanted to win the races. The
underclassman such as myself looked up to him and became better runners by trying
to keep up with him.- Ken Vercammen STA class of 77
