Mrs. Dorothy L. (Rhodes) Corse died Tuesday January 1st at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 85 years old. Born in Imperial Valley, CA, she came to New Jersey in 1946, and had lived in Jamesburg for 35 years.
She received her nursing education at Monmouth College in Long Branch, and had worked as an LPN at Marlboro State Psychiatric Hospital for over 25 years, retiring in 1989. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are three daughters, Kathryn Macaro and Karen Klag, both of Jamesburg, and Denise Ward of Pt. Charlotte, FL, a son, John of Toms River, a sister, Pauline Gilliam of OK and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private cremation was entrusted to the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp. A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday January 9th at the funeral home from 7 to 9pm, and a service will be offered at 8:30pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
