Maryann, Doug, Diane and family,
I am saddened at the loss of Doug (who will always be Mr. Cerbie to me). I have many fond memories of him and his influene in my life. I know I was probably just the rag-tag kid up the street, that happened to be at his house every afternoon, but he always made me feel welcome, part of the family. He'd help me when I dropped my Stars Wars figures down the pipes, wouldn't get mad when I climbed all over little Doug's Chevelle, and let us play baseball in the back field whenever we wanted. He was always part of the fabric of the neighborhood that I called, and still proudly call home. Most importantly, I remember the rides he would give me St. James, to attend CCD. I believed he was a man who believed in God, and in a way, that made it seem all the more important to me. So, I thank God for Mr. Cerbie's early influence in my own life of faith in Jesus. Please accept my condolences, and know that Mr. Cerbie will never be forgotten by me.
