John J. Coleman died on Thursday October 11, 2012 at his home in Stonebridge, Monroe Twp. He was 95 years old. Mr. Coleman was born and raised in Cambridge, MA. He lived in North Tonawanda, NY, Syracuse, NY, and, upon retirement lived in Manahawkin. He has resided in Stonebridge, Monroe Twp. since 2010. He also spent many winter months in Melbourne, FL. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a tax accounting clerk for Niagara Mohawk Power Co. in Syracuse, NY for 35 years until his retirement in 1981. He was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce (Chester) Coleman, his daughter, Lynn Seligman and her husband Rudi of Monroe Twp., three sons, Michael Coleman and his wife Jo Anne of Port Orange, FL, Timothy Coleman and his wife Kathy of Westboro, MA, and Daniel Coleman and his wife Paula of Syracuse, NY, six grandchildren, Brett and his wife Barbara, Darren, Erika, Brooke and her husband Michael, Matthew, and Nicholas.
Funeral services will begin at 10:45am Saturday October 13, 2012 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 11:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp., followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, S. Brunswick. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30am to 10:30am at the funeral home.
