Joyce and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I have nothing but warm, happy memories of the times that we spent with John. He was so sincere and genuine, and he always had us laughing. When I was a child, he had a way of making me feel like there was an "inside joke" just between the two of us when he talked to me and winked. Never knew what it was, but it didn't matter. It made me feel important.
My Dad and Aunt have always told us stories about John when he was younger in Arlington and at Merrymeeting Lake, how he and Joyce met, how he drove Aunt Helen crazy, etc..Next month on Thanksgiving I'm sure the stories will be retold again. He'll always be with each of us in spirit. I hope you can take comfort in that.
With sympathy and love,
David.

Joyce, Linda, Dan ,Mike, Tim and family:
I am so saddened by your loss but I am also flooded with memories of moments that we have had with all of you over the years. John's sense of humor and his smile and the twinkle in his eye as though he always had something up his sleeve. . I remember my father driving us to visit you all in New York and when John and Joyce and Dan came to visit us. I am grateful beyond words that John and Joyce were able to be a part of my mother and father's 25th anniversary party. I know that it meant alot to them. My thoughts are with all of you and my memories of John will always make me smile. Love to you all,. AnnMarie

Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with you all during this sad time.
We have such wonderful memories of John (always a twinkle in his eyes). He and your Mom introduced Paul and me to the Casino on one of our many trips. Not to mention visits when we were in Florida visiting Paula. I remember when they were up at the Hiawatha up in York, Maine a few times and most of all: the Sunday years ago we watched the famous Red Sox and the famous ball that went through the famous legs while visiting them. I thought Joyce was going to throw the two of us out the door before the game ended. Last but not least, John driving down Varnum Street in Aunt Helen's car(Chuck) on two wheels and then returning up the street beeping the horn just to aggravate her a little more. Such happy memories for all of us. And boy, could he play a great polka game and he always won. Just wanted to share the above with you all. He certainly will be missed by anyone who knew him. Such a saint and now he is in Heaven watching down over us.
All our prayers and thoughts are with you.
Love from Paul, Mary and Eleanor

Joyce and family...My deepest sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this sad time. I spent the day thinking of all the good times we had. From the time that John, Bob, and I moved down here in 1962 to our third floor flat on South Salina St., and the long drives back and forth each week. How surprised Mary Lou and I were when we found that the real estate guy sold us houses across the street from each other. The parties at the "Old Barn". The New Year's Eve parties we had where Paul would get half shnookered and fall on the floor laughing! The card games we enjoyed. The many, many good times we had. We'll always have good memories.
Jim
