Jon,

I had heard a few years ago of Sara's passing and never got the chance to write, not having your e mail.

As you well know, Sara had special gifts that always amazed me. I won't go on; I've been here going on nine years already. A difficult country but Buenos Aires is an intense and interesting place. Nuts, but different.

I hope you are well and taking good care

My fondest memories,

Dennis Ruckel

My memories of Sara are in Mr Chow's painting class and listening to her playing the harp.
Not to mention many years at MCBSS.
Those were happy memories and Sara will be sorely missed.

So saddened to lose her from this world--our dear friend since college days at Douglass. She lifted us up with her gentleness and the joy of her music. I recall the unique and inspired perspective she brought to so many occasions and her wonderful sense of humor. I'll truly miss her dear spirit.

Sara was one of the most gentle and generous souls I have known. She was so talented and giving...and behind it all she had a great wicked sense of humor. What a loss to everyone who knew her. My thoughts are with John and the rest of the family.

What a wonderful and giving person Sara was. She did so much, from her union activities in her working days to her charity work in retirement. She made a difference and I will miss her deeply. My heart goes out to John. They were a wonderful couple.

I am so sorry to hear of this. I had thought of Sara so many times these last years, since we shared some of the same interests and she had the capacity to make me feel whole again.
John, stay with friends and family, I know this is going to be tough and my spirit is with you.
Sincerely,
Dennis

What a loss to the world...Sara was one of the most intelligent, creative and astute people I have ever known. I knew Sara at Douglass College, and reconnected with her in the mid 70's. We ended up being housemates for a while in a house that had begun to be built before the Revolutionary War. We could have written a book about our shared experiences there! I treasure all those memories, and all the other memories I have of our 48 year friendship.
My condolences to John and to her family. May you always remember Sara's very special spirit.
