Obituary of Frances B. Picone

Jamesburg Mrs. Frances B. (Intravartola) Picone died Sunday June 24th at home. She was 94 years old. Born in Jamesburg, she was a life long resident and proud graduate of Jamesburg High School. She later went on to receive a degree in business from Rider Business College in Trenton in 1938, where she was an excellent athlete. She was recently honored as the Oldest Living Athlete from Rider University. She worked for over 30 years as an executive secretary at Cities Service Co. in Cranbury, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Jamesburg Senior Citizens Club, the American Legion Auxiliary Star Post #127, and St. James RCC and the Altar Rosary Society, all of Jamesburg. Her husband Joseph V. died in 1993. Surviving are two sons, Thomas A. and his wife, Judith of Skillman, Joseph V. and his wife, Kathy of Tryon, NC, two daughters, Mary Lou Picone of Jamesburg, and JoAnn Wolfe and her husband, Jeffery of Jamesburg. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10am Friday from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30am at St. James RCC, Jamesburg. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Mausoleum, So. Brunswick. Visitation is Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm.
