I have a lot of great memories of Aunt Nettie (and Uncle John). She's a fun lady who spoke her mind and really enjoyed her life and her dear family. When I was a kid, I enjoyed going to her home in Spotswood and Jamesburg because I have always been an animal lover and there was always interesting animals at her home: dogs, cats, chickens. Also Aunt Nettie was a wonderful cook. Remember her delicious lasagna.Aunt Nettie always made you feel welcome in her home and there was always room for another at her dinner table. I also liked hearing her stories about growing up on a farm and her interesting family. My fondest memory of Aunt Nettie and Uncle John was the trip my parents and brother and I took to Toronto when I was 10 in their camper. Had so much fun. Aunt Nettie was a really special, unique lady; and in the altered words of one of her favorite singers, Loretta Lynn, who was singing about her father(Coal Miners Daughter): "They don't make women like Aunt Nettie anymore".
