Joan T. Walsh, 73, died on Monday May 7, 2012 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Joan was born in Queens, NY and resided for most of her life in Monroe Twp., NJ. Joan was employed by the Monroe Board of Education, where she worked as a secretary at Applegarth School for twenty five years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Choir, and was a Columbiette, Spotswood Post # 4907. Joan is predeceased by her parents, John and Mary (Gormley) Moore and a sister Margaret Florin. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John A., Jr., two sons: John A. III and his wife Joanne of Jamesburg, and Kevin M. of Monroe Twp. Funeral services will begin at 9:45am on Thursday May 10, 2012 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Township, NJ. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:15am at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Spotswood. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Make A Wish Foundation – 1347 Perrineville Rd.
