Carol A. (Fay) Johnson died on Sunday March 4, 2012 at her home in Monroe Twp. She was 67 years old. Mrs. Johnson was born and raised in Jersey City. She lived in Bloomfield before moving to Monroe Twp. in 1970. She was an elementary school teacher for the Monroe Twp. Board of Education for 28 years before her retirement in 2008. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church, Spotswood. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Leroy F. Johnson, Jr., two sons, Michael D. Johnson, Sr. of Lawrenceville, and Jeffrey S. Johnson and his wife Lizette of Slatington, PA, her father-in-law, Leroy F. Johnson, Sr. of Old Bridge, two grandchildren, Michael D. Johnson, Jr., and Carleen Johnson, and many other extended family members. A funeral service will be 8:30pm Thursday March 8, 2012 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Visitation will be from 6pm until the time of the service on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Cremation is private. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
