Obituary of Wanda E. Zaremba

Wanda E. (Rotar) Zaremba died on Tuesday January 17, 2012 at Monroe Village Health Care Center, Monroe Twp. She was 89 years old. Mrs. Zaremba was born in Trieste, Italy to Antonius and Ursula Rotar. She came to the US in 1923 and settled in Hoboken. She later lived in Jersey City before moving to Metuchen in 1957. She has resided in Monroe Village, Monroe Twp. since 2005. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral, Metuchen, and enjoyed many years crocheting, and knitting afghans, hats, and blankets for her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles S. Zaremba, Sr., who died in 1998. She was also pre-deceased by her sister, Anna Paulich, and her brother, John Rotar. She was the loving mother of her six children, Charles S. Zaremba, Jr. and his wife Melba of Edinburg, TX, Ronald Zaremba and his wife Carol of Flowery Branch, GA, Gregory Zaremba of Flowery Branch, GA, Wanda Ann Wimer and her husband Daniel of Allentown, Denise Garner and her husband Eugene of Jackson, and Regina Alfieri and her husband Salvatore of Marlboro, 12 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, two sisters, Mary Coghlan of NY, and Helen Welker of North Arlington, one brother-in-law, John Paulich of Clifton, and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Rotar of Hawley, PA. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am Monday January 23, 2012 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 10:30am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg followed by Interment in Brgd. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
