Obituary of Jamie Alan Cullen, Sr.

Jamie A. Cullen, Sr., 66, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at his home in Spotswood after a courageous battle with cancer.  A life-long resident of Spotswood, he graduated from South River High School in 1975 and attended Middlesex County College. Jamie was employed at Frigidaire in Edison as a Manufacturing Supervisor for 25 years, and then spent almost 20 years as a Shipping Supervisor at Glenway Distribution in Cranbury. In his spare time, Jamie loved spending time with his family, especially the last three years with his two grandchildren, Leia and Jamie III. He enjoyed going to Monmouth Racetrack, having family gatherings by the pool, and watching endless hours of football.

Jamie was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Cullen, Sr. (2020) & Margaret Cullen (2011), and his sister, Shelley Cole (2010).      

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Laurie (Kulberda) Cullen; his son, Jamie Cullen Jr. & wife Amanda of Spotswood; his daughter, Jenna Cantora & husband Robert of Millstone; his two grandchildren, Leia and Jamie III; his brother, Edward Cullen & wife Debbie; his brothers-in-law, Len Kulberda, Lee Kulberda, and Robert Cole. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and beloved friends.

Visitation will be 4-8 PM on Friday November 3, 2023 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  A memorial mass will be 10 AM on Saturday November 4, 2023 at Immaculate Conception RC Church - 23 Manalapan Rd., Spotswood, NJ  08884.  Cremation is private.
