Almost every year from my childhood my Dad (Priscilla’s brother Chuck) would drive the family from Chicago to NJ to see Grandpa and Grandma Parks and the family. As soon as we would pull into the driveway Aunt Priscilla along with Grandpa, Grandma and other family would be right there to greet us. Priscilla’s smile, hugs, and contagious laugh made her a joy to be around. She was wise beyond her years and to me a natural born teacher. Kind-hearted, giving and compassionate are just a few words to describe this sweet spirit. The last time I drove to NJ I was a little nervous about the drive back to Chicago and Aunt Priscilla gave me a CD titled “Believe.” She told me one of the songs she really liked on the CD was “Jesus Take The Wheel” by Carrie Underwood. It’s a song about giving Jesus control as we go through life’s struggles, Priscilla ENDURED a many of life challenges because she allowed Jesus to Take The Wheel. Her song became my song too. A bright light has left this world and into the hands of The TRUE LIGHT which is CHRIST.
