Obituary of Vincent P. Scacco, Sr.

Vincent P. Scacco, Sr., 83, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Penn Medicine Princeton Health, Princeton, NJ.  Vincent was born in New York City and had resided in Brooklyn, NY, Point Pleasant, NJ, Astoria, NY and Stuart, FL, before moving to Monroe Township, NJ fourteen years ago.

Vincent ”Vinnie” Scacco, was a man of many talents and interests.  He enjoyed summers at the Jersey Shore and entertaining family and friends with his superb cooking skills. As due his gracious and gregarious personality, Vinnie easily made many friends. He was known to frequent many establishments throughout New York City with a grand welcome while dressed in his most dapper attire. He was also great at “cutting the rug” especially to his signature song “Up the Lazy River”.  He was a gifted storyteller, bringing tears of laughter with his bedazzling stories and adventures from his vault of life.

Vinnie had a successful career spanning over 40 years at the American Stock Exchange, where he was well respected in his field. He was also a Veteran of the National Guard and a true patriot of his country and highly supportive of all those who served.

Vincent is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Melinda Ulrich, of Monroe Township, NJ, his three children, whom he deeply cherished, Vincent Scacco, Jr. of Oak Creek, WI, Dawn Crouch of Allen, TX and John Scacco of Mentor, OH. He is survived by his sister, Maria Musolino of Staten Island, NY, eight grandchildren; Vincent, Anthony, Dylan, Giovanni, Stellina, Dominic, Samantha, Alexis, and his great grandchild, Brooklyn.  He was predeceased by his parents John and Pauline Scacco and his sister Alice Piccirello.
