Obituary of Carl Lee Boster

Carl Boster, 74, of Jamesburg passed away on Tuesday September 19, 2023 at RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick.  Carl was born in Huntington, WV and raised in Brooklyn where he lived for most of his life before moving to Manalapan in 1996, finally settling in Jamesburg in 2018.  Carl was a police officer for the NYC Police Department for 23 years until his retirement in 1991.  After retiring from the police department, he worked as a security officer for St. John's University on Staten Island.  Carl played the trumpet and was a coin collector.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Alice (Morris) Boster of Jamesburg, his daughter, Christina Mackey and her husband Michael of Hillsdale and his son Carl L. Boster, II and his wife Yarona of Jamesburg.  He was beloved "Gapka" to his three grandchildren: Riley Mackey, Taylor Mackey and Connor Boster.  

Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 am on Friday September 22, 2023 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  A catholic blessing will be 11:00 am at the conclusion of the visiting hours followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery - 52 Tyler Ave., Staten Island, NY  10310.
