Obituary of Frances DiFiglia

Frances DiFiglia, 94, of Monroe Twp. passed away on Monday September 18, 2023 at the Center for Hope in Scotch Plains.  Frances was born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and lived in Wantagh, NY before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. in 2002.  She was employed by Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. on Long Island as an administrator for 20 years until her retirement in 1994.  Frances was very active in her community at Clearbrook.  She was a member of the HOA board, the Italian American Club and loved tennis and staying active, gardening, exercising and Pilates.  Family was most important to Frances and she enjoyed cooking for them, especially on holidays.  

Frances was preceded in death by her two sisters: Marion Schembri and Angelina Bianco.

She is survived by her two children: Santa DiFiglia of Nutley and Peter DiFiglia and his wife Colleen of Shrewsbury, five grandchildren: Jeffrey Bunn and his wife Nicole, Michael Bunn and his wife Milana, Gabrielle Faella and her husband Sean, Lauren Plunkett and her husband Quinn and Kelly DiFiglia and three great grandchildren: Christian Bunn, Brayden Bunn and Ellis Faella.  Also surviving are many extended family and friends.

A funeral liturgy will be 10:00 am on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. James the Less RC Church - 36 Lincoln Ave., Jamesburg, NJ  08831 followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
