Obituary of Frederick H. Perrine

Frederick H. Perrine, age 97 passed away on August 22, 2023, at Penn Medical Center, Plainsboro, NJ.

Fred was born in Trenton, NJ to Frederick S. and Sarah H. Perrine. He was raised in Jamesburg, NJ on Gatzmer Avenue and graduated from Jamesburg High School. He enlisted in the United Sates Navy and was deployed to the Pacific Theater in 1944. Following his discharge, Fred attended Rider University. In 1948 Fred married his beloved wife, Phyllis.

Fred joined his family business, Perrine’s Pontiac in Jamesburg, NJ. In 1967 he assumed the position of dealer operator and ran the business until his retirement in 1997.

Fred’s involvement in the community was considerable. He was a member of the Jamesburg Elks Lodge, the American Legion, the Free Masons, and was a founding member of the Jamesburg chapter of the Lion’s Club. Fred also served as the chairman of the Monroe Planning Board. Additionally, he sat on the board of the Brunswick Bank and Trust Board of directors from 1975 until 2006.

In his spare time, Fred was an avid collector of coins and milk bottles. He was an accomplished carver of duck decoys; every family member proudly displays their beautifully detailed ducks. Additionally, he enjoyed boating and traveling to Florida with Phyllis in their RV.

Frederick was predeceased by his wife Phyllis H. Perrine in 2014, his granddaughter Danielle Poole in 2022, and his son in law, Richard Canuso in 2011.

He is survived by his children, Frederick L. Perrine (Rita) of Monroe Township, Deborah Krawiec (George) of Monroe Township, Sarah Canuso (Dennis Ventrello Sr.) of Monroe Township, and Rebekah Poole (Scott Croce) of Washington Township.

He will be missed by his grandchildren Jessica Carpenito, Scott Perrine, Alix Perrine Dyer (Matt), Captain Rick Perrine, USMC (Abbie Frank), Captain Trent Perrine, USMC (Meredith), Richard Canuso (Jordan) and Eddy Poole.

Fred also leaves behind his Great grandchildren; Madison, Leighton, Benji, Gia, Carmine, and Elle.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831.

A funeral service will then be held at 3:30 pm
