Michael Shearn, 55, passed away on Monday June 26, 2023 at his residence in Spotswood.  Michael was born in New Brunswick and raised in Spotswood where he lived for his entire life.  Michael was employed for Monroe Twp. DPW as a Public Works Foreman for almost 30 years.  He was a member of Monroe Twp. Volunteer Fire Company #1 and NJ Forest Fire Services.  Michael lived a very full and adventurous life.  He loved hunting and fishing, he was a true outdoorsman.  He also enjoyed riding his Harley and having bonfires in his backyard.  Most of all Michael loved his friends and was loved by everyone.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Constance Shearn.

He is survived by his sister, Maryann Olexson and her husband Edward of Monroe Twp., his brother Bernard W. Shearn, his nephew, Edward Olexson and his children, three nieces: Jamie Olexson, Lisa Smarro and her husband Matthew and their children and Megan Olexson, his best friends, Joey Slomian and Jimmy Meyers, his second family The Rusnocks and his dog, Nova.

A memorial gathering will be 1:00-4:00 pm on Saturday July 29, 2023 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 - 732-521-0555 - www.demarcofuneralhome.com.
