Obituary of Janet A. Mascio

Janet A. Mascio of Monroe Township, NJ, passed away on June 15, 2023, at her home.

Janet was born in the Bronx, NY, she moved to Woodside, NY in 1966 and to the Rossmoor Community, Monroe Township, NJ in 1989.  Janet was employed by Standard Brands, NY and Nabisco, NJ, she retired after forty-one years of service as an executive secretary. While living in Rossmoor, she became an active member, and officer of the Italian American Club, The Emerald Society, and the Bocce Club. She was a communicant of Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church.    

Janet was preceded in death by her five brothers, John, Edward, Arthur, Raymond, and Anthony Mascio, and her sister, Mary McDermott.

Janet is survived by her sister, Dolores McCartan, and her fifteen loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 pm on Monday June 19, 2023, and 8:30-9:15 am on Tuesday June 20, 2023, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 am on Tuesday from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00 am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church - 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
