Obituary of Janice Gwen Parnell
Janice Parnell, 76, of Monroe Township, New Jersey, passed away May 2, 2023. She was born April 26, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Paul McQuiston, Jr., and Robbie Banks McQuiston. Jan was retired from a career in public education, having taught second and fourth grade students at Riverdale Elementary School in Germantown, Tennessee.
She is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her son, Keith Parnell (Steve Shope, Jr. of Eureka Springs, Arkansas); her daughter, Mollie Pierro
(George of Monroe Township, New Jersey); her granddaughter, Anna Pierro; her grandson, George Pierro; and her cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Jan enjoyed playing piano, painting, traveling, and creating art projects with her grandchildren. She was deeply loved by her family and cherished every moment that she spent with them. Jan's quiet kindness touched more hearts than she ever knew.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 2:00pm at Salem Presbyterian Church, 3400 Atoka-Idaville Road, Atoka, Tennessee 38004.
