Obituary of Frederick G. Hess

Frederick G. Hess, 89, passed away on Monday May 1, 2023.  Frederick was born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Staten Island, NY for most of his life before moving to Rossmoor, Monroe Township, NJ in 2002.  Frederick was employed by the NYC Board of Education; he enjoyed being a teacher and a coach, retiring in 2000.  Frederick was an avid golfer and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 14658.  Above all else Frederick was a loving family man, he cherished the time he spent with his loved ones. 

Frederick is preceded in death by his loving wife Marie B. Hess (2013).      

Frederick is survived by his three sons, Stephen Hess and his wife Melaje of Old Bridge, NJ, Frederick Hess and his wife Lisa of Bridgewater, NJ, Christopher Hess of Detroit, MI., his daughter, Kathleen Bowen and her husband Joseph of Chandler, Az., his seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Charity, Corey, Erin, Matthew, Jesi and Danielle, his four great grandchildren, Tegan, Brodan, Maeven, and Rydan.  Also surviving are extended family members and friends.   

Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday May 4, 2023, and 9:00 am to 9:45 am on Friday May 5, 2023, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  Funeral services will begin at 9:45 am on Friday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:30 am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831 followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
