Obituary of Viola A. Laiso

Viola A. Laiso, 91, passed away at her residence on Sunday April 30, 2023, with her loving family by her side.  Viola was born in Manhattan, NY; she resided in Brooklyn, NY and Long Island, NY before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Township, NJ in 2004.  Viola enjoyed crocheting and knitting, she loved to cook, and no one left her house with an empty stomach.  

Viola is preceded in death by her husband, William Caggiano, her son, Michael Laiso, and her sisters, Marie Coiro, and Dorothy Tjepkema. 

Viola is survived by her son Dominick Laiso and his wife Denise of Monroe Township, NJ, her daughter in law, Noreen Laiso of Florida, three grandchildren, Lisa Ann Laiso, Dominick Laiso and his wife Nina, Christine Maldonado and her husband Pablo, four great grandchildren, Sarah Maldonado, Viola Laiso, Elizabeth Maldonado, and Michael Maldonado.  Also surviving are extended family members and friends.     

Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 4:00pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday May 3, 2023, and 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Thursday May 4, 2023, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  A Catholic Blessing will be offered at 10:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home, followed by entombment in The Evergreens Cemetery, 1629 Bushwick Avenue Brooklyn, N.Y. 11207
