Obituary of Donald Forman

Donald Forman, 90, passed away on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at his residence in Monroe Township, surrounded by his family.  Donald was born and raised in New York City and moved to Edison in 1971, where he and his wife Agnes raised their family, and developed lifelong friendships.  Donald was employed as a longshoreman for 60 years in the Ports of New York and New Jersey. Upon retirement, Agnes and Donald settled in Monroe where they enjoyed spending time with their children, grandchildren and many friends. 

Donald was preceded in death by two brothers: James Wayden and Thomas Forman and two sisters: Lorraine Mahoney and Kay Finneran.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Agnes (Dever) Forman of Monroe Twp., two sons: Donald Patrick of Basking Ridge, Daniel Aloysius, and his wife Elizabeth of Sinking Spring, PA, one daughter, Mary Habib, and her husband Deryl of South Brunswick, and five grandchildren: Danny, McKayla, Luke, Jessica and Gabriella. 

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 pm on Monday April 10, 2023 and 9:00-9:45 am on Tuesday April 11, 2023 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  Funeral services will begin at 9:45 am on Tuesday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:30 am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick. 

Don will be missed for his humble nature, sense of humor, and kindness to all.  He was dedicated to God and his family.  Don could always be found at church on Sunday and work on Monday. 

For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers in Donald’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
